Her mothers name was Emerline Hough and her father was William Brown. I know they were on the 1850and 1860 census in Panola County ,Texas as were alot of other Browns. Do you know when Zephora was born? I have one great Aunt left living that can tell me any information on the Browns. She said that she don't know much that they either came from Brownsville or Brownwood Texas.If you can find out any information please let me know .I know that my grandmother said they were native american.
