Granted there may be two Logan's Gaps, but I discovered the cemeter listing for the Comanche County GenWeb site: http://www.rootsweb.com/~txcomanc/cemlist.htm This one states it is in Comanche County. I cannot find a record of it for Brown County. Also, Gloria Mayfield has it listed here in Comanche County: http://www.cemeteries-of-tx.com/Wtx/Comanche/ListComanche.html Logan's Gap in Comanche County has a post office in 1895. Also, The Handbook of Texas online says: > FORT WORTH AND RIO GRANDE RAILWAY. The Fort Worth and Rio Grande > Railway Company was chartered on June 1, 1885, to build from Fort > Worth to Brownwood, a distance of 127 miles. A branch was also > proposed from Logan's Gap in Comanche County to Coleman in Coleman > County, a distance of forty miles. The capital was $200,000, and the > business office was in Fort Worth. I found the genealogy of the Logan Family of Logan's Gap at http://www.groversmith.com/logan.html It stated "At Logan's Gap, about nine miles southwest of Comanche on the Brownwood highway, there is a rock garden consisting of specimens of stones and fossils which attract many tourists." Now, my thought is that it is so close to the county line that there is confusion about it. Anyway, if anyone would like to go transcripe it, I will gladly put it up, and tell Wanda Irby who has Comanche County so she can link to it as well. --sue -- Sue Seibert P. O.
