His older sister Harriett was my gggrandmother. She married John M. Daniel in Yalobusha Co. MS in 1855. They went to Texas soon afterwards with the Daniels. They lived in Upshur and Wood counties. I have been doing a lot of work on this Flanagan family and had found John D. and Nancy in Burleson Co., TX in 1870 and 1880, in Lampasas Co. in 1900 and in Brown Co in 1910 and 1920. John D. Flanagan was the oldest son of John C. and Mary Flanagan who lived in Yalobusha Co., MS in 1850. John C. was born in Georgia about 1809/10. Mary was born in Tennessee, no surname. They stayed in Mississippi where John died between 1870 and 1880 in Calhoun Co. Several of their children moved to Texas. Harriett and her older sister Mary married Daniel brothers. Harriett's husband, John M. Daniel, died of disease in the Civil War while in Arkansas. She married again to Isham LaRue. She died in the late 1870s. I am descended from them through the Daniel line. I have been trying to connect several Flanagan families who came from Georgia, through Mississippi and then to Texas. I'd be glad to exchange information with you.
