Bowden Funeral Set At Brownwood Brownwood (SC) Nolie Winston Bowden, 87, of Brownwood died at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday in a Brownwood nursing home after a long illness. (d. August 8, 1967) Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today in Davis-Morris Funeral Home with burial in Heflin Cemetery. Mr. Bowden
You have sent me some great information on the Davidsons. I had George Clayton but didn't have all the children. Where did you find this information. In your second generation you listed WIlliam C. and Mary A. as children of David Martin and Matilda and they are the children of David Martin and a wife named L.J. whom I've not been able to find out anything about. He and L.J. had Tennessee, Eliza, James and Texanna (who is buried at Wolf Valley) David and Matilda had four children, David M. and Heneritta who are buried at Wolf Valley and my grandfather, George Wesley, and Joseph. Matilda had two children prior to marrying David M., William C. and Mahala. I have been able to locate this family and have established Matilda's Eastern Cherokee connection. I have not been able to find a connection between your Jacksons and the Davidsons. The M. Elizabeth Duke probably will be related to Matilda's first husband and I can give you the name of the Dukes who are doing research on that side of the family if you would like. Let me know. Hi Susan, I am also researching Foster's in Brown Co. Texas. It is quite possible that your James P. Foster was the brother of my William Henry Foster. William was born in the Dubuque area of Iowa(actually in Clayton Co.). His brother, James, traveled with him to Texas. (James was born in co. Fermanagh, North Ireland) William Henry Foster married Nancy Jane Jackson on Nat 11, 1877 in Comanche Co., Texas. He was a well driller. The family lived in the general area until a little after 1900, when William died (I don't know exactly when or where). Wife Nancy and children moved to southeastern Arizona. I have a James Foster living in Blanket, Brown Co., Texas on the 1880 census. He lived a few houses from Wm Foster and his wife and child. Wife was ME, born abt 1844 in Georgia. Three daughters, EJ,MM,LL Do we have a possible connection here? Vynette Sage in Arizona
