My dad was in the w.p.a. program. L do not know the people you mentioned, but my mother might. She is 83 and has lived all her life in and around Brownwood.

Curbo Mrs. Mattie Brice Curbo, 68, wife of T.M. Curbo of Winchell, died at 3:15 Saturday afternoon at the family residence. Funeral services were held at 10:30 Sunday morning at the Winchell Methodist Church and interment was in the cemetery there. Rev. Chester Wilkerson officiated. Undertakers from White & London Funeral Home were in charge. Mattie Brice Hardin was born on November 25,1866, in Hill county. She was married in 1888?: she moved later to Runnels county where the family remained until 1914, then they moved to Mills county and then to Brown county in 1923. Mrs. Curbo had been a member of the Methodist church since she was 13 years of age. She had always taken an active part in church work and was a leader in all activities of her church and was known as a devout and loving character by all who came in contact with her. She is survived by her husband, three daughters and four sons. The children are: Mrs. Nora Snowden of Breckenridge, Mrs. E. D. Vann of Winchell, Mrs. Claude Shannon of Woodland Heights. M. P., W. R. and Dan(Dave?) Curbo, all of Winchell, and J. B. Curbo of Christoval. She is also survived by five brothers, Bill Hardin of Whitney, Ben and Pete Hardin of Blum, John Hardin of Vernon and Bob Hardin of Melvin. Pallbearers were Tom Page, Glen Lancaster, R. Hamilton. Dan Howell, Hack Deavers and Frank Denman.
