    3. I'm going to try this again while still hoping. I'm looking for any and all information on the children of Andrew (Andy) Gordon and Martha A. Correr (their marriage record shows her surname to be "Conner") married August 27, 1846 in Lowndes Co., Alabama. They had the following children: Sarah (Sallie) E. Gordon b. abt. 1846 in Lowndes Co., Alabama who married someone with the name of H.N. Connor (possible relative of mother?); Frances (Fannie) E. Gordon b. abt. 1847 in Lowndes Co., Alabama who married a man by the name of John R. Pettit bef. 1871; Laura A. Gordon b. abt. Abt. 1851 in Lowndes Co., Alabama. In 1860, Laura was living in Huntsville, Texas with her mother. In 1871, she was living with her sister, Sallie Connor, somewhere in Texas. Please.... any help here will be so greatly appreciated. Virgle Lafayette Phillips married Clara Riodan Nov 16 1904 in Brown CO, TX. She was b Nov 19 1881, and died Apr 29 1955 in Bangs, Brown CO, TX. Virgle Phillips was a first cousin to my father, Thomas Milton Phillips. I don't know anything more, but perhaps you can glean something from it.

I have not found him on the 1850 or 1860 census. When he was discharged from the Army he listed Karnes Co, Tx as his residence. He met his future wife Sinia Evaline TRIMMELL in Karnes Co., Tx and they were married in DeWitt Co., Tx 1866. By 1870 they were living in Van Zandt Co, Tx. They traveled thru Hamilton Co., Tx - on to Brown Co. Tx by the 1880 census where he is listed as George PINSTON. Nearby is Frank and Mary CHOATE. Sinia's mother's maiden name was CHOATE. The PINSONS left Brown Co., Tx and moved to Erath Co., Tx where he died 1886. The only other PINSON I found in Brown Co., Tx was Allen L PINSON. Need info on the George G PINSON family. Is he related to Allen L PINSON?

After my husband's father died, his mother married a Lloyd Wheat. You might check Tyler county, Tx. (Woodville), Jefferson County, Hardin County, Livingston County, Jasper County. These are the ones that I think I saw the Wheat name on. By the way, Lloyd Wheat was originally from Alabama if that helps. Good Luck Joyce

    3. I have some information on Almedie Jones who was married to Thomas S. "Greasy" Williams. Almedie Jones was the sister to William Harvey Jones, my great grandfather. T.S. Williams is buried at Blake Cemetery in Brown Co., TX. I went to the cemetery last year and took photos of the tombstones. There is another cousin also doing JONES genealogy in California, that probably has more information than I do, but I will be more than happy to share what I have.     2. I have information in my Great-grandfather's book 'Missouri to Texas by Covered Wagon 1884' concerning the family of a Tom Williams. My great grandfather played with his 8 children, one of who was named John. Tom Williams gave a big Christmas party at his place each year. I'm in the process of putting this book online and hope to have it finished next week, aided by my very bored daughter who is home from college, about to lose her mind, and desperate for the 50 cents a page I'm paying her.
