    3. May, Texas, is about 17 miles north of Brownwood, on US 183, according to the contemporary Rand McNally altas I have. I grew up in Brownwood and remember May, but it's easily been 50 years since I was through there and can't vouch for what you will find now. 3. May, Texas is located approximately 17 miles north on US Hwy.183. I have distant cousins that live in May. The May cemetery is not far off the Hwy. I have a book of cemetery listings of the cemeteries in Brown Co., It list one Ridgeway, on pg 199, and that was Clear Creek Cemetery. Unless I overlooked the name on that page it was not listed. Since I am not from Brown Co., I am not very familiar with the area, only since attending annual reunions am I learning where places are. Hope this helps. 1. [TXBROWN] Re: Picture of Greenleaf Fisk Father of Brownwood Stolen from Court House
    2. I know this does not pertain to Brownwood but does to the decandants of Greenleaf Fisk who was the father of Brownwood. I sent this letter out to all my Fisk contacts and hopefully we can replace the one stolen, About 2 years ago the Williamson County Museum & Historical Society had a reprint of an original picture of Greenleaf Fisk made. The original use to hang in the courthouse in Georgetown. When the Historical Society had the reprint made it was placed in the courthouse, In October of 2000 someone stole the reprint that was hanging in the courthouse. This reprint cost the Historical Society in the approximate amount of $150.00. They cannot find the photographer who took the picture and who has the negative. It seems the man has had cancer and they cannot contact him or a relative. Now the problem is finding someone to make another negative to have a reprint made from. Plus the cost of doing so. I would like to make a contribution to the Historical Society specified for a reprint to be made, from the decendants of Greenleaf Fisk. I can not imagine someone doing this. Who besides a decendant of Greenleaf Fisk would be interested in his picture? I am upset to hear this has happened. This looks bad on the decendants of Greenleaf Fisk. Tammie Smith
