But she hasn't sent her information yet. I think she maybe waiting on me to send her more information. Much of Brown Co. relied on cisterns, tanks (ponds, for "foreigners"), etc., and contamination by typhoid, diptheria, etc. would be deadly. (These are the good old days!)

I don't think that information was ever recorded--just family history. My great grandmother, Dona Isadora, married Samuel Durham Thomas. His name was Joe McGaughy, later he changed the spelling to McGaughey. This is the correct ancestoral spelling for our family. My father and his brothers and sisters were born and raised in Denton and Spur, Texas. Does any of this ring a bell ? Also your Last name is the same as Decatur, Wise Co., TX. Any connection to it ?
