FYI: Glass Hill Cemetery, Bowie County ftp://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/tx/bowie/cemetery/glasshil.txt Forwarded Message from Jean Old <[email protected]> GLASS HILL CEMETERY This Cemetery was destroyed in the 1930's when a road was built through the center of it. Only one stone is left standing on a mound of dirt on the right side of County Road 4006 off of old Highway 8 South, behind the last brick house on the right as you get to the sand pit. There were several graves located on the left side of the road in a pasture, but the stones have fallen over and covered with sand and grass. Some of the graves were moved to Ringwood Cemetery but the majority are lost to us forever unless someone had a relative buried there and will come forward with their names so we may add to the existing list that Mr. Noah Moody has done as well as Mrs. Verda Mae Terral. If anyone has additional names of persons buried here, please contact the New Boston Genealogical Society.
