Swope) Reply-to: <A HREF="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</A> Good morning, I am the court-appointed administrator for the estate of Milton Hunt Lindsey, who recently died here in Austin, TX. I am trying to find relatives of Mr. Lindsey. He (and apparently his family) were somewhat reclusive, and everyone (including an ex-wife, who was married to Mr. Lindsey briefly in the late 1940's) says there is no family. I have a lead on some cousins on his mother's side, but am also searching for someone on the father's side. Mr. Lindsey was born in Bowie Co (Texarkana) on April 14, 1927. His father was T.R. (Theodore Roosevelt) Lindsey, and his mother was Julia Williamson Carr Lindsey. She was from Tennessee. I have no further information about the father, but have sent for a copy of his death certificate in hopes that I can get a date of birth and place of birth. Mr. T.R. Lindsey was a railroad employee. There is a story (from a neighbor) that there was property owned in east Texas, that was inherited by Milton Lindsey, and that he subsequently sold. As an amateur genealogist, I am aware of the USGenWeb project and the work it does -- Can you give me any suggestions for locating records or persons in this area?
