Looking for descendants of Orville/Orral Fanning living in Bowie County? He was the son of Dr. Robert H. Fanning (died in Avery 4 July 1937) and Avis Parker. Both buried in the Pine Spring Cemetery. I believe he didn't go into the business till 1914 but did not purchase it till 1918.(According to Funeral notice) This funeral home was in Texarkana and was used by the east part of Bowie and a lot of Miller county Ar. Someone from Dekalb would have used them if they died in a Texarkana Hospital. Charley, Floyd, Claude [could not make out the year of birth on sons as it is at bottom of page and blurred] 1910 Bowie Co. TX Granison Miller, 49, married 2 times, 19 years in this marriage, born AR, parents born Alabama. Fannie Miller, 43, married 1 time, four children born, four children living, born Georgia, father born TN, mother born Alabama. Floyd Miller, age 17; daughter in law Tena Miller, 17; Claud Miller, 10 and daughter Lona [could not make out her age]. Using the census record search on the LDS website at www.familysearch.org was unable to find a Francis/Fannie Rutherford born in Georgia. This website does use the soundex system. The only Francis Rutherford found born appx time of your Francis is as follows: 1880 Newton Co. TX All of this family was born in MS. William Rutherford, 52; Susan, 36; Mary, 21; Sabra Ann, 19; Francis, 12; John, 6. Very frustrating when places of birth is not consistant.
