Click on the cemeteries link on the left of the main page. http://www.usroots.com/~jmautrey/index.htm I have been to this cemetery many times, however since I live out of state I cannot remember just how to get there. On the main cemetery page of the site above it has the following directions: Located north of DeKalb. Go west (about 1/4 mile) out of DeKalb on Hwy 82. Turn right on Hwy 259, go about 8 miles. Turn left on Hwy 114 go 1 mile. Cemetery is on the right just past Springhill Bapist Church (on the left) Becky

Based on the e-mails I have received, I apparently did not make my message clear when I posted about the storage materials. The Texarkana USA Genealogical Society is NOT SELLING A CD of the obits collected. We are offering you the STORAGE MATERIALS, i.e.,the 3 ring binders and the sheet protectors that the obits were stored in. Sorry for any confusion. Special Projects Chairman Texarkana USA Gen Soc

The Texarkana USA Genealogical Society of Texarkana has now scanned all the obits held on file and placed them onto CD's. This has eliminated the use of a tremendous number of 3 ring binders and several thousand Archival quality, heavy duty, non-glare sheet protectors. If you live in the Texarkana area and would be interested in obtaining some of these materials, please contact me off list for further information. Sorry, but we will not mail on these. Thank you, Special Projects Chairman Hstryhntr2@aol.com

The information I'm looking for is in addition to what I already know from the 1880 Census. I doubt that there is anything to be gained by any more Internet searches. What I really need is to find someone who probably does not have Internet access. At the moment I would like to know if there is a genealogical society in Texas that could advise me on how I could best obtain information that might not be available on the Internet. Any advice would be most appreciated.

Tx Tx/Tx In the 1900 census this seems to be the same couple as the 1880 with the wife being LAURA MUSGROVE. Note that she gives birth date of 1859. If they had been married 37 years in 1900 that means she would have married in 1863! So I view that as a mistake. The 1870 couple appears to be William R. Murrell with a first wife given the son John in the other census that seems to be the same man. I am hoping that first wife of W.R. Murrell was (Sallie is nickname for Sarah) Sarah A. STINSON, daughter of John Stinson and Martha C. Williamson who migrated to Titus, now Franklin Co., Texas by 1868 from Pike Co., Ala. John Stinson sold land to Wm. R. Murrell in 1870. Laura doesn't seem to be the mother of John W. Murrell widowed in 1900 as she would have had to have him (21 - 12 = 9) at a very young age! Would the 1900 family be familiar to you? I am interested in chasing down John W. Murrell's death as I may have a shot at a death certificate that may connect him to the Stinsons. Wm. E. Murrell the grandson seems to be in the SSDI as dying in Louisianna in 1990.
