    1. Burlesque theatre?
    2. Hello, it's good to see this site! I hope I can be of some help to others as it is frustrating sometimes doing your research. My g-grandfather, William Titus Bellieu, supposedly ran a burlesque theatre down- town. My aunt can't remember what it was called. Her aunt told her that the old scamp was set to run away one night with one of the showgirls but he was robbed and the plans changed! I'd be willing to bet if the story's true his wife Mattie ar- ranged the theft. Has anyone knowledge of the theatre or the Bellieu family?

Need mainly, his father's name and any siblings of his father. Bill has a sister still living, but as she tells me, "I'm 93 now, and just can't remember all that". Just got off your site at Tribal Pages. What fun!! I haven't been very active on here for a while, but I'm back now. Looking forward to hear from anyone with this info. Thanks, chris

    1. Requesting Obituaries
    2. Jo Autrey
    3. Is it still possible to request copies of obituaries from the Texarkana USA Genealogical Society for $2.00 each? I realize there is a list of some on their site, but what about the ones not indexed in the book yet? I was told we could request them from copies of microfilm with the correct information. In return, the obituaries would be placed on the Bowie cemeteries listings.... Or do we need to order them from the Texarkana college or the Gazette, and just hope for the best? Please advise as I have a list I would love to have copies of. Best wishes, Jo http://www.bowiecountytexas.net http://www.joautrey.com

    3. Dear Shannon: You should contact the National Archives in Washington DC. They would be the most likely holding repository of a large collection of official WPA photos, both during construction and after. They documented these projects pretty thoroughly. Best regards. 2. This is a forwarded message. Please respond to: admin@txkairport.com Hello, my name is Shannon Elliott. I work in the Texarkana Regional Airport administrative office. I am searching for old pictures of the Airport Administrative office. The building was built in 1936 as a WPA project. We are still using the building for its original purpose. We are trying to obtain pictures of the building to submit to the Arkansas Historical Association to possibly secure a grant to restore the building to its original state. Any old photos of the Airport would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Shannon Elliott Texarkana Regional Airport Webb Field 201 Airport Dr. Texarkana, AR 71854 870-774-2171
