T. Bell with a return address of New Boston Tx dated September 17, 1891. It is addressed to a Mrs. Smitherman and it concerns Bell's sick wife. Is there anyone in Bowie who would be willing to check the county clerks office for a death record for WILLIAM HENRY DEAN who died in Bowie Feb 1917. Texas State library geninfo has no record of his death, and they suggested I check with the county clerk. However, since I live out of state this is possible only via the mail. I. Taylor, father of Henry Leonidas Taylor and Thomas Word Taylor of Redwater. Henry was the father of Thomas Franklin Taylor and Florence Belle Knox Taylor of Hope, Arkansas. Their son was my father, Harry Ivor Taylor; and his wife Mary Elizabeth O'Bleness Taylor. Does anyone have access to any Redwater, Texas (Bowie Co.) city records? Henry L. was a farmer and the local judge.(JP). Is there anything that can verify this or anything about the life of Henry or Thomas W.? Thomas Franklin's wife ..Florence Belle Knox Taylor had 2 sisters in Texarkana. Ruby HIGHTOWER and Beatrice. Ruby ran a publishing business and a Sanitorium or Nursing home in Texarkana for years. Mothers name thought to be Anna. There were two sons known, Robert and Logan. Robert joined a cattle drive and went to South Dakota where he worked for a large cattle company in what is now Dewey County and the Cheyenne River Indian Reservation. Robert married the daughter of Alexander and Mollie Laundreaux and raised a family here, two sons names Robert LAWRENCE and Clarence Alexander LAWRENCE and several daughters. Mrs. Maggie Hightower d. 14 May 1946 Believe this to be Green P. DeFee's daughter. Not sure...She was married to a Sam Hightower. S.O. Hightower d. 10 Apr 1938....Is this Sam? What about Willie and Eugene Hightower? Are they related to Maggie or to S. O. Hightower. Also seeking a Mrs. G.H. Adams, daughter of G.P. DeFee. Have not found her final resting place but it has to be in Texarkana...She was living in Texarkana in 1926 when her mother, Margaret Anna DeFee died.
