I hate to ask this but I'm going to anyway, Has any one decided to petition the state of Texas and Rootsweb for taking the records off? I mean okay take off Birth records from say 50 years back but that leaves a whole lot to search. I am getting births records on my husbands side from all over the country and marriage records also off the web. Why are Tx and Rootsweb being so odd? I for one don't see how either could be damaging, now I would have a problem if the SS dept started handing out records but what are birthdates and marriage dates going to mess with. Sorry about the soap box, but when you are a dislocated Texan half way around the world the net is almost the only way to search. I have info on my family but can't do anything with it until I can get home and start searching from there. I hope everyone has a good holiday, Kat From: "Suzy" <edsu@camalott.com> Reply-To: TXBOSQUE-L@rootsweb.com To: TXBOSQUE-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [TXBOSQUE] TX vitals searches Date: Fri, 8 Nov 2002 15:47:01 -0600 Thanx, Peggy! I have used the TX Archives search and, yes, it is very useful for vitals in many counties.... I think most of the ones I found for Bosque Co, were from the 1930's...... I just tried out the VitalSearch-CA.com search....I managed to get a bit of info.....I think it is just a teaser, don't you?? I will play with it some more..... Yes, you are correct, re the Rootsweb TX Death search page....I forgot to mention that.....I sure miss the Birth Records page, don't you?! We really appreciate your help, Peggy.....
