    1. Claybrook ranch underwater?
    2. Ed Rush
    3. When I was a child, I saw a photograph of the Claybrook house in Bosque County and heard that it was destroyed when an artificial lake was created there. This was undoubtedly Lake Whitney. Can someone here tell me about that? I've heard that the house was built by Christopher Richard Claybrook (1831-1883), my gg-grandfather, but I've no verification of that. I would specifically like any information about the house, but also how the authorities handled the property transfer and the evacuation of the site. http://www.tsha.utexas.edu/handbook/online/articles/view/WW/ruw1.html says Whitney Dam was built in 1947-51. http://www.tsha.utexas.edu/handbook/online/articles/view/LL/gkl5.html says Lake Whitney was "impounded" in 1954. -*"*-.,,.-*"*-.,,.-*"*-.,,.-*"*-.,,.-*"*-.,,.-*"*-.,,.-*"*— Ed Rush, grandson of Margaret Claybrook, born in Fowler, 1895 Los Osos, California ed@edrene.us
