I have received excellent replies to my query regarding lack of documentation and misinformation this afternoon. The consensus is that any gedcom or search site [i.e. Ancestry, etc.] is a STARTING POINT which provides clues. We must do our own research from there and be responsible for seeing that we do not deliberately post misinformation for others. We must also be leary of any information we receive from these sites or from well meaning relatives or even from published material until we have proven it ourselves. Voila!
