    3. Hi all I just figured out why all the RW Message Boards are not coming through to this list. It takes me a while sometime, but I ususally figure it out. <g> What I need to know from you all is this--do you all want the posts from the Rootsweb Message Boards posted here also? I know some of you just "hate" those boards & hate lists that allow those to be posted. What I am doing is taking a poll of those on the list, & want to see what the majority of you want. Please sent the "votes" to me. I will respond to each one to say that I received it. Thanks for your help, Bettie <>< -- There is no key to happiness. The door is always open.

    3. Thanx so much for the info re BC's, etc........every time I go to Meridian, I think I have found everything I want, but sure enough, the next time I go, I find another little treasure! The info you sent is noted........and appreciated..... Suzy ----- Original Message ----- From: Edward L. Williams To: TXBOSQUE-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Saturday, December 20, 2003 2:09 PM Subject: [TXBOSQUE] Bosque County Clerk Fees for 2004 County Clerk Announces New, Increased Fees Effective Jan. 1 MERIDIAN - Bosque County Clerk Betty Outlaw has announced that several fees charged by her office will increase effective Jan. 1, 2004. The changes are due to actions of the 78th Texas Legislature. The increases affect vital statistics records obtained at the county clerk's office in the Bosque County Courthouse in Meridian. Copies of birth certificates will increase from $11 to $12, while copies of remote birth certificates from state records will remain at $11 each. Copies of a death certificate will rise from $9 to $10 for the first copy, and from $3 to $4 for subsequent copies. Copies of marriage licenses will increase from $36 to $37, and copies of declarations of informal marriage will rise to $32 from the previous $31 fee. The increases, a fee to be used for the preservation of vital statistics records, were authorized by Senate Bill 1744, which amended the Health and Safety Code (191.0045) to allow local registrars to collect the additional funds. New criminal fees noted by County Clerk Outlaw include a $30 state traffic fee on offenses committed after Sept. 1, 2003. The court cost is imposed on all offenses of the Transportation Code (Subtitle C, Rules of the Road). A new $100 court cost fee on all first- and second-offense driving while intoxicated convictions will be charged beginning Jan. 1. For more information about the new or increased fees, contact the county clerk's office at (254) 435-2201. Edward L. 1. [TXBOSQUE] John P. Robinson
    2. Ed Slaback
    3. I am researching my great, great grandfather John P. Robinson who was born June 1, 1855 in Texas. Information passed down by word of mouth indicates that he was born in Bosque County and that his father was John Robinson and his mother Mary or Sarah Powell. I believe that the middle inital "P" stands for Powell. I have been unable to locate any information confirming his birth in Bosque County or any information about his parents except that they were suppossed to be from Tennessee. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here is some additional info. John Powell Robinson was born June 01, 1855 in Texas, and died February 22, 1938 in Lone Cedar, Ellis County, Texas. He married Alice Medora Killebrew in 1885, daughter of Edd Killibrew and Sarah Ellen Fatherree. Burial: Lone Oak Cemetery, Navarro County, Texas. Children of John Powell Robinson and Alice Medora Killebrew are: +Ed Steven Robinson, b. February 05, 1886, Indian Territory, Oklahoma, d. December 04, 1958. Vance N. Robinson, b. April 14, 1888, d. date unknown, 2-7-1924. Nellie Robinson, b. September 01, 1890, d. February 28, 1947. Gracie Robinson, b. April 01, 1893, d. date unknown. Jennie Medora Robinson, b. September 01, 1900, d. 1968. John Powell Robinson, Jr., b. 1903, d. date unknown. Thanks, Ed aka Eddy Slaback --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Protect your identity with Yahoo! 3. Please pass this on--this is Nola Duffy <nduffy@patch.net> Bettie <>< ------------------- With the wide circulation we can reach through a mail list, I wondered if you would please ask the people on the list to do anything they might can do to contact their local hospitals, news agencies or any other contact to alert them that if we do not find an A+ liver for my son within the next 24-48 hours, he will be gone. He is presently in the Surgical Intensive Care unit at Methodist Hospital in Houston and we have more than one plane ready to fly ANYWHERE in the country to pick up a liver and transport it or to transport my son to anyplace in the country where he might be transplanted. Our last hope and prayer is that someone that might be in a position or know someone that can help. This is my only son. As most know, my husband is also not expected to make it more than a few weeks or months and this is my only family. I simply must do what I can. We have already tried to get something on CNN, the AP, local TV, etc. but in a large place like Houston, I am afraid this is just another ho-hum story. The reason it would help to get to local hospitals around the country is because there are many possible organs that become available that are never used because the local surgeons will not harvest them unless there is the possibility they will be paid. I know that Larry Hagman, the TV star, got his liver because he paid to have it harvested. I am more than willing to pay the expenses of any local hospital that can help. As much as I hate to put my home phone on the WWW, I will do that and more to save my only child. My number is 713-523-3210. Any doctor that wants to talk to his doctor (Dr. Joseph Varon) can contact him either through the hospital intensive care at 713-790-6804 or through his answering service at 713-669-1670 Thanks, Nola
