    3. The September/October, 2008, issue of the newsletter for the City of Live Oak, states that the Live Oak Historical Committee, which is preparing for the city's 50th anniversary celebration, is still looking for pictures of the Judson Four Drive-In and Fisher's Ice House. The Judson Four Drive-In was located on the property where Northeast Methodist Hospital now stands. The drive-in theater was torn down and replaced by the hospital in the mid-1980s. The hospital was originally called Village Oaks Hospital. The hospital has grown significantly in size since that time. Area residents may recall the children's Halloween parties hosted by Village Oaks Hospital in the 1980s, which included X-raying of candy. Some of the roads by the hospital were also rerouted in the mid-1980s, including the creation of the Toepperwein Rd. underpass at IH-35; the change at the intersection of Toepperwein Rd. and Judson Rd. which now allows Judson Rd. to flow directly into Toepperwein Rd; and the blocking of Wilderness Trail so that it no longer intersects with the IH-35 access road.. A small xeriscape park now stands on the original path of Toepperwein Rd. A La Quinta motor inn now stands on the original path of Wilderness Trail. I am not familiar with Fisher's Ice House. If you have pictures which you are willing to share of the Judson Four Drive-In or Fisher's Ice House, please contact Scott Wayman, Assistant City Manager of Live Oak, at (210) 653-1940, ext. 261; e-mail address: swayman@ci.live-oak.tx.us Sue Tilleman List Administrator
