The Allen who died in 1965 died in Dallas and was African-American. Most likely the one you need is Cornelius Hutchins Allen who died Apr 13, 1959 in Atascosa Co. A search of the local San Antonio Papers for his obituary turned up nothing. Do not have on-line access to local papers for 1985 time period I'm sorry to say.
