I am currently researching my husband's family. On the 1870 San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas census I have them as follows: Fuhrmeister, H " Wilhelmine " Sophia 5yrs " Wilhelmine 3yrs " Herman 2yrs " Dora 2mos After this census they seem to fall off the planet. At least the women do. I have Herman and his family and I know who Sophia and her sister Wilhelmine (Minnie, Mina) married. The mother, Wilhelmine and the youngest daughter Dora have disappeared! There is a Dora Fuhrmeister who is listed with a "Gerhard" family of Guadalupe Co during the same year. I have a suspicion that this was baby Dora's aunt but on the next census Dora is gone and this Fuhrmeister family in also gone. Where did they go? I have a transcription from the Old Lutheran Cemetery San Antonio of a Wilhelmina Fuhrmeiste. Does anyone know of someone who would be willing to possibly take a picture of this head stone if it exists? I live in Oregon so doing this myself is not possible as much as I wish it were.
