Based on his obituary he was; born Jackson Co. and son of Mr & Mrs. Guy Daniels, 1st wife Miss Vera Lee Mays. Had a daughter by 1st marriage named Florine Daniels. Survived by: wife Mamie Daniels, dau Florine Wilson (Houston), sisters, Mrs. A,B, Estus (Victoria) and Mrs Rose Lee Gayle (Inez), several nieces and nephews. Says he married Miss Mamie Mooney on May 7, 1927. Now I found a marriage index listing for a L. O. Daniles to a Mamie E. Robinson, Bexar Co. Book: 37, Pg: 592, Certificate: 77502. Both are listed as being African-American. Appearsd that this might be them and that Mamie was married to someone named Robinson. Sorry but have no access to copy of the marriage record. No other obituaries were found for either: Eugene Moody (1974) Mamie Mooney Daniles (1970), or Melisa Ward Mooney (1955).
