I requested in writing the records of my husband's cousin, Ms Aggapha F Dietsch, who lived at the hospital for 22 years 10 months and 25 days. (Her first name is spelled this way on the Death certificate I think it might have been Agatha) According to my calculations she entered the hospital on Dec 12 1925. She died there on October 15 1948. I sent everything I had to prove who I was. I have census records, land records from Bexar County her death certificate and I created a decadency chart to show how we are related. But because of the recent changes in the Privacy laws you must prove that you are either the executor or the Administrator of the person's estate. I find this to be interesting. My cousin had no siblings. Her mother died when she was a baby. Her father died in 1941 and his only child was not even mentioned in his Obituary! I know where she was buried her father is buried in the same cemetery. I don't think Ms Aggapha had an estate. Wouldn't the state seize any "Estate" because she was in the state hospital? The informant on her death certificate is the San Antonio State Hospital. I am really frustrated with this. I would really like to know about her.
