(I have a pic of that memorial.) I don't know if it ever said the older Thomas was one of the old 300, but if it ever did, it doesn't anymore. I don't believe the younger Thomas would have been too young to have been one of the old 300 settlers. The older Thomas was indeed fairly old. I don't know exactly how old the younger Thomas was, but from what documents (much of which is well covered in "No Holier Spot of Ground") I've seen and given the age of his father, it seems to me that young Thomas was certainly old enough to have been one of the old 300. If you need further confirmation, I can check with the book's author (I actually spoke him today about an unrelated issue) and see if he can provide further documentation.
