    3. My grandmother, Rebeca Vega Mata was born in Coahuila in 1912. The family migrated to TX about 1913 -17....I know my great-grandmother died in Texas 1918. They said that there was a lot of turmoil, supposedly, Pancho Villa was from the region and there were a lot of bandits and revolutionaries. Many families did not feel safe. I was told that a wagon load of people were driving through town, La Agujita (?), near Piedas Negras, and asked my great-grandparents if they wanted to go with them. The great-grandparents loaded up their 2 babies (Rebeca & Jesus) and left....no planning and very short notice, basically left with very little, if any, possessions. I understand that the church records from Coahuila are on microfilm at Trinity University in San Antonio. If you come across VEGA or MATA there, I would love to know about them. Good Luck in your search. Norine
