I don't know how I got onto it, but I do not want to be associated with your activist activities. I am very active in Burnet Masonic activities and am alsways looking for other worthy projects structured and scheduled by authorized Masonic authority. Learn the structure of an organization prior to pushing in to "correct" percieved problems. All Scottish Rite Members are Masons, but not all Masons are Scottish Rite Members. This concept should not be that difficult to grasp. Cheers, Raymond G. Bronk, 32nd degree Mason ----- Original Message ----- From: james reveley To: [email protected] Sent: Friday, June 10, 2005 1:03 PM Subject: Masonic Cemetery Dear Mr. Bronk, I am in receipt of the recent letter you sent to my sister Sarah regarding the Masonic Cemetery In San Antonio, and I have also read your address about the Heroes of the Alamo. I was in the Funeral Business for many years, and the most disgraceful cemetery in all of the cemeteries in the old San Antonio Cemeteries is The Masonic Cemetery. Shame on you, and the Masons, for the disgraceful condition of the resting grounds of many of the heroes you honor in your speeches. I challenge you to just once walk onto those grounds and not realize why my sister Sarah is so incensed with horrible plight of the final resting place of these people to whom we owe so much. All of your Brothers to whom you pay so much homage are laying under a cover Of debris, needles, drug paraphenalia, and condoms. Can you turn your back on this situation. All it would take would be one or two days of volunteer work by your lodges to restore this wonderful site to its former grandeur. My sister has absolutely nothing to gain by her efforts to clean up this Historical site, yet she has become a pariah in your eyes. I do not ask you to respond to me, but I do ask you to visit the site of one of the oldest and grandest Masonic cemeteries in the State of Texas, possibly the United States, and let me know if you do not come away with a sick feeling in your gut. I am not am Mason, I also have nothing to gain, but I am a San Antonian who Is proud of his city, and it sickens me to see the condition of this truly Historical and majestic area. Very Truly Yours, James E. Reveley, DDS
