They are not connected. Only descendants of John Coker can be buried in the cemetery, which is private and can only be visited with permission. There are two historical markers, one for John Coker and one for Jeff Smith. In excellent shape in 1997. There are 86 cemeteries listed whose names fall between A and F in the alphabet. There are 76 cemeteries listed whose names fall between G and M in the alphabet. There are 105 cemeteries whose names fall between N and Z in the alphabet, and there are 7 cemeteries listed whose names are unknown. I saw a query yesterday, I believe, about African American burials. This list includes at least one cemetery whose name tells us there are African American burials -- _*Colored People’s Cemetery*_ est 1893. There are probably more.... Don't miss this resource.
