This is a follow-up to my Nov. 7, 2005, posting of an e-mail I received from Doris MATRIAN of Bremerhaven, Germany, who has been attempting for several years to contact her husband's cousin Marlene NICOLAI who apparently lived at 231 Herweck Drive, San Antonio, in 1990. Doris had been following some leads in Wisconsin which apparently did not pan out. See the e-mail which I received today, as well as her original e-mail which follows. I do not find anyone listed in the current San Antonio telephone book with the surname NICOLAI. I do not find anyone by the name Marlene NICOLAI or any variations of the name Steve NICOLAI listed in either the Social Security Death Index or the Texas Death Records search engine, 1964 through 1998, at the following sites: http://ssdi.genealogy.rootsweb.com/ http://vitals.rootsweb.com/tx/death/search.cgi?o_xid=0000493648&o_lid=000049 3648&o_xt=493648 A search for the surnames NICOLAI and JUNET in the Texas Marriages Search Engine 1966 - 2003, and the Texas Divorces Search Engine 1966 - 2003, at the following sites also does not bring up any listings which appear to be for either Marlene or her husband Steve: http://www.genlookups.com/texas_marriages/ http://www.genlookups.com/texas_divorces/ A MapQuest search at the following site for Herweck Drive shows it to be inside Loop 410, intersecting with both Jackson-Keller Rd. and Blanco Rd., near the Oblate School of Theology. http://www.mapquest.com/ According to Doris's original e-mail, Marlene is believed to have at one time worked in an operating room at a hospital in Houston. Perhaps someone working in a medical facility in San Antonio may have some knowledge of Marlene. Does anyone have any additional information or ideas which could help Doris in her search? I'm running out of ideas.
