Several community newspapers are printed in Bexar County. A list of some of those newspapers can be found at the following site: http://www.primetimenewspapers.com/ These are a great untapped resource. Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, these newspapers do not include articles of genealogical significance, such as wedding announcements and obituaries, on their Internet sites at this time. I receive the "Herald" at my home, which serves the northeast Bexar County and nearby communities of Bracken, Cibolo, Converse, Garden Ridge, Kirby, Live Oak, Marion, Randolph Air Force Base, Schertz, Selma, Universal City, and Windcrest.
