Howdy All.. While I find the BCHC instruction to be disappointing, I'll ride with it for now, at least until the BCHC monthly meeting on August 23, when I expect to have some discussion about the matter. I'd hope folks and contributors will hang on until I get some feedback from the BCHC meeting, before abandoning ship completely! As I've pointed out, I'm not yet sure the request to remove SOBC from the BCHC page includes the biography information (of real use to genealogists, and about which the BCHC may not really care), and/or the cemetery list information extracted from another BCHC publication about Bell County Cemeteries. I intend to seek clarification as to what the BCHC understands the web page purpose to be, and what, if anything, they see as being made available through it. Let's wait and see how solid the iceberg of text holding is before abandoning this Titanic effort, okay? For Ann... even if the BCHC is firm, there may be some areas where things have NOT been published (like your Marriage Indices idea) that we can help people with), so please don't go away.. very far at least. Mrs. Adams, I can return your email containing the information about your family for posting or I can delete it. Anyone that sent me anything to be added to the biography page, the album page or any other pages...I can email it back or just delete it from my files....in fact, all of you may consider it done. Bill, please remove the BARTLETTs, BENSONs and DURETTs. These are my family and the information was submitted by family. Here is another instance of someone taking research done by other people and copyrighting it and then selling it. My personal copyright attorney tells me that information of public record CANNOT be copyrighted. To those of you who helped us with some of the material and those that had offered to help, thanks. Like Bill, I am...well, I'm tired. A lot of us put in a lot of work to build these pages.
