Dear Jody, I have been searching for my James Granvil Payne in the Mcdowell cemetery for sometime now, I even requested a death certificate, but they could not find him. I know he was buried there. Would you mind checking for me please? He also went by J.G. Payne. He died around March of 1897, born around 1826. I would truly appreciate it. He has been my block wall forever. Thank you.
