Hope to see you there! Dateline: October 31, 1999 Bell County will be celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2000! An article today in the Temple Daily Telegram stated that the Bell County Sesquicentennial Committee has designated April 22, 2000 as Charter Oak Election Day, and it's looking for descendants of the first Bell County Families! Glenn Rucker, co-chairman of the sub-committee invites all living descendants of those pioneer, Bell County families to send their name, address, and the names of their pioneer ancestors to the Charter Oak Sub-Committee, Bell County Museum, P.O. Box 1381, Belton, TX 76513.
