Any responses for him? ----Original Message Follows---- From: Mysaxsjan@aol.com Date: Mon, 5 Jul 1999 23:27:23 EDT My gr gr grandfather, William M. Peppers, b. 1817, TN m. Evaline Kincheloe, b. 1822, Blount Co. AL. She was the dau of Charles W. Kincheloe and Elizabeth Duncan. William M. Peppers, wife, Evaline, and dau Mary Jane moved to TX in 1842. Mary Jane was b. in 1841 in ARK, thus she was only one year old when they moved to Milam Co, TX (now Bell Co.TX). This little family of three were the first white settlers on Pepper's creek that runs parallel to IH35 in Belton, TX. Texas Handbook states that this creek was named for the Peppers' family. I believe this family was in Benton Co. ARK before they moved to TX but have been unable to establish that. Charles W. Kincheloe, Evaline's parents were in Benton Co., and Washington Co. ARK in the 1830's. Mary Jane Peppers m. Henry Jefferson Dawson in 1857 in Uvalde, Uvalde Co. TX. HJ served in the Civil War four years. They settled in Burnet Co. TX. near Mary Jane's parents, William M.and Evaline Peppers. (1860's) I am searching for the names and locations of William M. Peppers' parents in TN, from the Bell County connection. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Dorice in TX _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. Visit http://www.msn.com
