    3. Wow! Good information guys! You two shall be awarded our StealthSearcher award...I think that consists of scraps of paper, envelopes and receipts and candy wrappers and a stubby pencil with very little point and no eraser!!!...or maybe that was a pen about to run out of ink??? Anyway, cool searching! I would like to thank those of you who add biographies to the bio-page...with hundreds before me yet to key, I take time to celebrate wildly when someone adds one! I pop the "cork" on my jug of Crystal Light and do wheelies in my chair and just celebrate wildly with my two cats, Simon David Abraham Hinklefarb and Smokey B. Bear. Don't take this that I am unhappy with my task at hand...I volunteered for it but then I can see 1051 pages instead of 1052 pages! Thank you! Thank you! Would anyone like to type the Temple part? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm? I have gotten almost to the end twice and it turns to mush. It is cursed for me, I am certain, as this has not happened to anything else I have done from this text. That town does not like me...even when I go to the library, several cars will almost run into me or back into me...no drivers, just cars. Right now, I am beginning my third try with Temple and I would much rather lick chocolate from moving mixer blades!!!!! -----Original Message----- From: Bill Bost <longwired@hotmail.com> To: TXBELL-L@rootsweb.com <TXBELL-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Friday, July 23, 1999 9:21 AM Subject: [TXBELL-L] Fwd: Rock Hollow Cemetery (I think Joe was estimating at one time there were between 30,000 and 50,000 burials in Bell County, | ===================== Yes, there are and I believe that many of the ones you think are lost are, actually, just hiding. Haven't you ever been out on the side of the road or in the middle of a pasture (cleaning bovine excrement from your shoes) and seemed to hear distant laughter buzzing about your ears? Well, I am here to tell you that *I* believe that to be a pleathora of ancestors hiding out among the weed blades, behind the rocks and pebbles and among the thistles and grass burrs laughing at us as we try to find them! I also believe they take the form of ticks and fleas, flies and mosquitoes, red bugs and chiggers to make our searches as difficult as possible. I think they are also body-snatchers and take over the bodies of the map-makers and add in creeks and roads that never existed...and we wont even get into the illicit erasing that goes on while they are in those bodies!!!! - -------------------------------------------------- |Also, your information is helping to clarify some points about cemetery |names in the county. ======================== Speaking of which, Bill...I was told that there was a cemetery west of Holland that was plowed under by the land owner when he purchased the land. It was reported to me that he thought it to be a "...waste of good growing space and money to leave it...". My cousin and I have been trying to find someone in Holland that knows about it...location and who might have been buried there...but so far all we have found is a group of people that have knowledge from older family and friends that one existed and was plowed under by the owner of the land...and that it was somewhere west of Holland.
