    3. Howdy Listers... The Fort Hood SENTINEL for May 20 had this notice, for those interested: "Limited Access Cemeteries To Open Memorial Day: Cemeteries located within the Fort Hood live-fire training areas will be open for public visitation May 30 as part of Memorial Day weekend. The live-fire training areas are usually closed to the public, but visitors may go to the family cemeteries 6 a.m. - 8 p.m. May 30 without an area access clearance permit. Fort Hoods' Range Control office guides will be available to assist families and monitor cemetery visits to ensure all visitors are clear of the live-fire training areas on time. Signs will be posted along major roads on post giving directions to the cemeteries. Roads which may be used to reach the cemeteries are East Range Road, West Range Road and Owl Creek Road. Individuals may visit other cemeteries located on the installation outside the live-fire training areas anytime during the year with an appropriate permit from the Area Access Control Center. The Area Access Control Center will also be open May 30 to provide information for visitors. The Area Access Control Center is located in Building 1941, adjacent to the Sportsmen's Center, near North Avenue and Rod and Gun Club Loop. For more information, contact the Area Access Control Center at 287-8398 or Range Control at 287-9857."
