    3. I live almost three hours away, but hope to make at least two or three of the events. I believe my Deaver ancestors arrived in Bell County around 1870, in the Taylor Valley area. Three generations in my direct line lived there and there are still other Deaver descendents in the Belton area today. I have had some really productive research during my trips to Bell County. There are so, so many of us Central Texans who have roots going back 150 years, or more, here in Bell County. Many of us have done research, located and found some very fascinating history & stories of our early ancestors as they formed Bell County in 1850. Even if you are not from a pioneering family in Bell County, I invite you to take a moment to visit our Web pages of the Historical Commission, County Musuem, and other county sites, to become familiar with, and a part of, our rich Bell County Heritage. As Joe suggested, try to make all, or many, of the planned events for next year.I don't think you will be dissapointed. If you know of some event happening in your community next year, such as High School Homecoming, some annual event,bar-b-q cookoff, etc.,a special convention, or some happening that you would like to dedicate to Bell County's 150 year celebration, please get in touch with the Sesqucentennial committee so we can get it listed on our web site for ALL THE WORLD to know about.Remember, these sites,as well as the TXBELL NEWSLETTER, are visted daily from around the world. I hope you can find time to participate in the exchange of information on the TXBELL pages and take part in the BIG ONE, next year.
