May I jump in here and ask if you know of some of the places in TN that the early settlers in Bell Co. came from, that is before the Civil War. My Willaim M. Peppers, and wife, Eveline Kincheloe, had a dau. Mary Jane. This family moved to Bell Co in the early 1840's. William was from TN. Eveline was b. in Blount Co. AL They were the first white family to live on "Peppers Creek". This creek runs parallel to IH 35 in Belton, TX. Mary Jane was b. in ARK in 1841. dj in Austin
