My great-great grandmother, Jane Dyches was listed as the head of a Meeks household in the 1860 census of Bell County, near Belton, Texas. (Note, I think this was an error, but...maybe she HAD married a MEEKS in the time between her husband's death in 1854 and the 1860 census taking. So do you know anything about a Jane Dyches Meeks?
