Hi Ann, Thank you for suggesting the rootsweb site, but, I looked in that just a few days ago. That is where I found J. Swan Bigham's obituary notice. It mentions that his father moved to the Tennessee Valley with thirteen other families, and I know the Garners were one of them. William L. Garner is my ggg grandfather.
