    3. Hi List, I live in California, near San Francisco, and my interest in Bell County is with my STORM family who lived there for a time. James B. STORM and Sarah LEYLAND had at least one son born in Bell County: my great-grandfather, Wallis Isaac (aka Isaac Wallace) STORM. His SS application says he was born 14 Jan 1878 in Belton, Bell Co. Sarah was born in England, but had been living in Texas. She had previously married a Mr. BIRD, presumably in TX, and had a son, Samuel BIRD on 10 Dec 1863, also in TX (according to a bible notation). I have no name or death date on Mr. BIRD, but in 1867, Sarah married James B. STORM in Jasper County, MO. Their three daughters were born there between 1868 and 1872. Then in 1874, their son Norman James (aka James Norman) was born in TX. And in 1878 as mentioned already, my great-grandfather Wallis was born in Bell Co. In 1880, they're enumerated in the Coryell Co census. They were back in Jasper County, MO in 1900. James died 25 Nov 1903, which I have from a copy of a funeral card, but no place is given. Sarah, however, died 25 Dec 1904 and is buried in Orange Co, CA. These folks moved around a LOT! :-) James and Sarah were both members of the Reorganized LDS Church. I don't know much about the history of this group, but have often wondered if it had something to do with their moving back and forth between Texas and Missouri. If anyone can shed some light on this possibility, I'd be very interested. Thanks in advance if you can help on this, or the mysterious "Mr. BIRD". If anyone has San Francisco ancestors, I host the USGenWeb site for that county, and have a few lookup offers listed on the page that I can help with. Best of luck to all of you with your own research. Take care, Pam psw@pop.sfo.com Pamela Storm Wolfskill
