I had Monk's who were in and around Bell county. They married in 1860 in Bell county. William W Monk and Mary Ann Brown. I have had great difficulty connecting them with any other Monk line's. They lived in Brown and Milam counties as well. I am at the Library right now checking my mail because my computer has crashed. As soon as I am back up and running I will get back with you.
