DUKE - VICTORIA Friday, July 28, 2006 VICTORIA - Melba Jaschke Duke, 67, of Victoria, died Thursday, July 27, 2006. She was born Sept. 20, 1938, in Victoria, to the late Henry and Meta Heinold Jaschke. She was a retired officer for Victoria Bank and Trust and a member of Christ the Victor Lutheran Church. Survivors: husband, Thomas Barry "Tommy" Duke; daughter, Denise Duke Nance of Round Rock; son, Dr. Thomas Scott Duke of Juneau, Alaska; sisters, Doris Meldin of California, Mavis Forman of Louisiana, and Judy Self of Victoria; brother, Del Jaschke of Victoria; and two grandchildren. Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. Saturday at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. A prayer service will be 7 p.m. Saturday at the chapel. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Christ the Victor Lutheran Church, the Rev. Arthur Lowe and the Rev. Dan Zellmer officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Rosewood Funeral Chapels, Victoria, 361-573-4546.
