Thanks for the reply, Pat. I actually have intended to check on HIGHTOWER in Hood County. I was in Granbury recently and noticed a sign on one of the downtown buildings - advertising an attorney named Hightower. The first spouse was J.M. Cox - a long shot, but that is all I have. They likely married around 1891 in Bell County. Alice and J.M. had two children - Frank and Robie (Robert?). Frank died as an infant and is buried next to his grandmother in the Dallas Cemetery near Holland. I have no further info on Robie. Alice had a brother named Robert - this son could be a namesake.
