    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Moore/Copeland/Gibson/Land/Hendrick Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/CkB.2ACI/1957.1 Message Board Post: Bell Co. TX., book, show that William Darling Hendrick was born in 1861, s/o of John Hendricks (b. 1796). John Hendricks would have been 65 yrs old when W. D. was born. This information also shows Sarah Hendricks-Land, d/o John's settled in Bell Co., TX.. An old letter states Sarah and husband John Land moved to TX. but never unpacked the wagon. They didn't like it out here in TX., and went back to Alabama after a month. Sarah Hendrick-Land is buried in Alabama. My grandmother was Mary Elizabeth Copeland (Bettie) b. 1871 AL., d/o of Ruben and Nancy Jain Gibson-Copeland. Bettie and husband, Sylvester Moore followed the family to Bell Co., TX. ca. 1895. I have letter from a Jasper Copeland from SC, where he wrote his cousin Bettie Copeland-Moore and signed it Cousin Jasper. His sister Laura wrote a note to her on the end of the page. Just thought it interesting that you have a Jasper Copeland in your research too. My Jasper was born in the 1870's SC. I wonder if they were kin? I don't know much about this family, either. The "Darling" name is in both Land and Hendricks families. Ada
