    3. Looks like that actually took place near Waco in 1896. There was a town created (Crush, TX) just for the event. You can find a great story and photos of the event at: http://www.lsjunction.com/facts/crush.htm Also see: http://www.flash.net/~cymartin/crossxroads/68crush.htm http://www.tsha.utexas.edu/handbook/online/articles/view/CC/llc1.html http://www.texasfriendly.com/TxAmaze50.htm http://www.star-traveler.com/comm/virtual/writers/kelton/facts4.htm Joe D. It was before 1907, as my granddaddy got married in 1907 and he remembers seeing this 'stunt' performed when he was a kid. He was born in Temple in 1887 and his name was Garland Lamar Wilcox, so James Monroe and Iona (Sullivan) Wilcox who had married there in January 1887 and removed to Polk Co AR. Anyway, what I am mainly trying to find out is THE YEAR that the trains crashed together. A lot of people showed up to watch the 'stunt' and granddaddy had told us about it years ago, and finally this article was in the Dallas newspaper about it. Can I find that article today? Not on your life, or mine! Help!!
