My gr gr grandfather and gr gr grandmother were: William M. Peppers, b, 1817, TN and Eveline Kincheloe, b. 1822, Blount Co. AL. Their dau.b. 1841, ARK, Mary Jane Peppers was my gr grandmother. This family of three moved to TX in 1842. They were the first white family to settle on Peppers Creek, Bell Co. TX.( named for the Peppers family) This is written up in the Hand Book of Texas. Also, they are written up in the History of Bell Co. by George Tyler. Mary Jane Peppers married Henry Jefferson Dawson, b. GA. 1835 in Uvalde. TX. William M. and Eveline finally settled in Burnet Co. TX where their hand built log house still stands. It was built abt 1863. I have more history on this family if anyone is interested. The Peppers owned land in Bell Co. also.
