Researching before 1900 can be very tricky when looking for obits and death records. If you are looking for relatives, have you tried the census records. Start with the last know place of residence and work your way back. Other than that the only option is try to find other relatives that might have information. I searched message boards and found other cousins. Sometimes they have old Bibles with ancestry information. Sorry I could not be of more help. Good luck with your researach.
