Hi all, I have good news! Mountain View Cemetery is going to be checked with a ground penetrating radar (GPR). It's taken a long time to convince the developers this is the only way to be sure they will not miss any graves and to have no doubts where a boundary fence can be errected safely. I've suggested to the developers/cemetery owners to have the data recorded with Bell County. I was told they planned to do so. This will protect them as well as the cemetery. I also was told this will cost them several thousand dollars. The man doing the GPR resides in Lamapasas and is acredited with the State Historical Commission. Am I missing any loop holes? The GPR results will be very interesting. I wouldn't let the city approve the plat till the northern boundary is moved to include where my dowsing rods said there is a grave (or something). I may soon be eating humble pie and lose credibility as a wiz bang of a dowser or I may soon be an accredited wiz bang of a dowser. LOL Take care, Charlotte Allman
