Thursday for W. W. Walker, 79, of Salado at the grave in Salado Cemetery. Walker died Tuesday Afternoon in the local hospital after an illness of four weeks. He was a retired farmer and one of the pioneer citizens of Bell county. He was born Nov 28, 1850 in Illinois, moving to Texas in 1858. He later moved to Salado where he lived until his death. Survivors are, two daughters, Mrs. A. W. Hill and Mrs. Tom Powell; and 2 sons, W. B. Walker and Ed Walker. Active Pallbearers are: Bill Norwood, Newt Proctor, George Proctor, Henry Proctor, all of Salado; Jack Slawson, Youngsport, J. W. Jackson, Bartlett. (added notes) Mrs. Hill was Lela Burnett Walker Hill; Mrs. Tom Powell was Lottie Adell Walker Powell; W. B. Walker was William Burch/Birch Walker. Mr. Walker's wife was Sarah Adams Kirkpatrick Walker, who preceded him in death in January 1925. An infant daughter Hettie B., also preceded him. Betty
