He came to Bell County from Burleson County in 1870. Born Feb. 3, 1826 in TN. To TX in 1839 Children: J. W. Ray of Austin; C. R. Ray of Salado; Willie Ray of Lake Side, CA.;Mrs. J. H. Pruitt of Lindsey, OK. A brother T. F. Ray lived in Roswell, NM. This is from his obit Temple Daily Telegram issue March 7, 1926
